Against my better judgement, I let the matter of Jeffrey Wilson's and Andrew Ginster's ongoing drug and alcohol problems drop after being subjected to the unprofessional attitudes of the SIUE police officer to whom you delegated responsibility for that investigation. On February 28th, that officer called me to inform me that he was filing a report with your office that was completely one-sided in favor of the boys. He admitted to me at the time that he had not reviewed ANY of the evidence I had submitted (nor did he intend to) and was basing his report solely on the word of the boys. Further, he was nothing but belligerent with me on the phone, making wildly inappropriate and ridiculous claims that my concerns to your office were "harming the university" and that I needed to "cease writing letters immediately." Given what follows in this letter, I expect a full retraction and apology for that officer's inept and boorish handling of these issues. Your direct and immediate attention is now required.

It has come to my attention that Jeffrey and Andrew are using the SIUE computer networks to cyberbully and harass me using a fake Twitter account in my name. This account is found at: http://twitter.com/#!/BestOfJames I have printed a copy of the offending pages and have submitted them with this letter. In it, you will find nothing but false, derogatory and incendiary statements claimed to be made by me. Jeffrey is even "following" this Twitter account (@BestofJeff) that is being maintained and contributed to by Andrew. While this may be protected as free speech somehow, I am certain that SIUE guidelines prohibit the use of school computers and networks for the practice of fraud, cyberbullying and harassment. It is my hope that you will intervene and take the proper actions to put an end to this childishness on their part.

Such childishness and intellectual dishonesty seem to be a hallmark of these boys' behavior given that they are still using illegal drugs and alcohol on a regular basis. I have included a DVD of various videos showing incontrovertible proof that the boys and their friends are using drugs and alcohol illegally. It is a shame that the officer back in February failed to take the time to view this evidence. It is further utterly shameful that he was so easily duped and eager to take the word of such dishonest boys. I was able to refute every lie Jeffrey and Andrew had proffered to the officer, but the officer was dead-set on filing the bogus report regardless of the facts.

It has further come to my attention that Andrew's girlfriend, Katie Jerbi, and her friends (also shown in the DVD videos) have libeled me with the SIUE Housing Office in an effort to not have Jeffrey's sister as their roommate in Cougar Village during the upcoming school year. Jeffrey's sister, Jessica M Wilson, is 100% drug and alcohol free and would not hesitate to bring in the authorities if/when Jeffrey and his friends were at the apartment using such substances. Because the girls could not state that as their reason for wanting to not room with Jessica, they decided to invent a lie that they "felt threatened" by me instead. I have no doubt that Jeffrey and Andrew invented the lie for them and bullied them into submitting it to the Housing Office given that the girls had had no prior problems with Jessica whatsoever. They simply want a safe haven in which to continue their illegal activities without hindrance. And, I am told that the Housing Office has complied with the girls' fraudulent request. In the end, it is best that Jessica not be subjected to these girls' illegal activities. But, it is also incumbent upon this university to ensure that these girls (and Jeffrey and Andrew) are not allowed to have safe haven for these activities either. Again, it is my hope that you will take all proper actions in this matter.

It should also be known to this office that Jeffrey's academic excellence is not completely his own. I understand that your office (via that inept police officer) is using Jeffrey's and Andrew's Dean's List status as a way to dismiss these valid concerns about their drug/alcohol use. That is a highly illogical and inappropriate means of judging these issues.

Jeffrey did not do all of the work for which his name and achievement status suggest during his freshman year at SIUE. He submitted my writings as his own during his English 101 and English 102 courses. One only need review certain papers to see who wrote what in them. Also, Jeffrey did not do much research for his English 102 paper on the Americans with Disabilities Act. He merely wrote down what I told him about those issues and found sources from Google to corroborate the information instead of actually doing real research and gaining true insight into and understanding of the issues at hand on his own. Therefore (at the very least), Jeffrey should be made to retake English 101 and 102. AND, his Dean's List status should be revoked for both of those semesters. These events of the fraudulent Twitter account and open lies to the Housing Office are simply further testaments to just how intellectually dishonest Jeffrey and Andrew truly are. It only diminishes the image of the Dean's List to have these boys listed there.

Lastly, it has further come to my attention that Jeffrey is bragging about an upcoming trip to Washington State University with his Computer Science professor, Dr. Andreas Stefik. Jeffrey is not bragging about this trip because of the computer science topics to be discussed. He is bragging about it because this Dr. Stefik has offered to buy booze for Jeffrey (as a minor) while there. I believe Jeffrey's boast about Dr. Stefik is along the lines of, "So, Jeffrey. I see that you are still underage. Thankfully, WSU is pretty lax about underage drinking. As long as you are with me, they won't bother you." Since lies and other deceitful behaviors seem to surround Jeffrey everywhere he goes, I am quite certain that the good professor will deny such claims. Regardless, if I find out that Dr Stefik (or anyone else associated with SIUE) is contributing to Jeffrey's ongoing substance abuse issues, I shall hold said person(s) and this university fully accountable for it.

Again, I am hopeful that you will finally take a proactive approach to Jeffrey's, Andrew's and their friends' ongoing drug problems at this university. Because your office failed to take appropriate action back in February due to a willfully mishandled investigation, these kids feel quite emboldened now. They have your office and the words of an unprofessional police officer to give them cover. Let us please put that cover to an end now and get the boys and their friends back on a healthy road to a better life. It is in everyone's best interests to do so.
